1 - Motorcycles, tricycles, quadricycles and mopeds may not carry passengers under the age of 7, except in the case of vehicles fitted with a rigid box not intended solely for carrying cargo.

2 - Bicycles may only carry their driver, unless:

a) They are equipped with more than one pair of pedals capable of operating the vehicle simultaneously, in which case the maximum number of people to be transported corresponds to the number of pairs of pedals and each person transported must be able to operate only one pair of pedals;

b) They are designed with passenger seats, in which case they may carry one or two passengers in addition to the driver, depending on the number of passenger seats;

c) Children under the age of 7 are transported in specially adapted devices.

3 - In the bicycles referred to in point b) of the previous paragraph, effective protection must be provided for passengers' hands, feet and backs.

4 - Anyone infringing the provisions of the previous paragraphs shall be punished with a fine of (euro) 60 to (euro) 300.
