1 - Vehicles must drive on the right-hand side of the road, keeping a sufficient distance from the verges or sidewalks to avoid accidents.

2 - When necessary, the left side of the road may be used for overtaking or changing direction.

3 - Whenever there are two or more traffic lanes in the same direction, traffic must take the rightmost lane, although another lane may be used if there is no room in that lane, as well as for overtaking or changing direction.

4 - Anyone infringing the provisions of paragraphs 1 and 3 shall be punished with a fine of (euro) 60 to (euro) 300, except as provided in the following paragraph.

5 - Anyone driving in the opposite direction shall be punished with a fine of (euro) 250 to (euro) 1250.
